Jam Nights - Why You Should Go

In today's world of internet and social media, it is easier for musicians to connect like never before, but nothing replaces sharing the stage with other performers.

The sessions are a way to get stage time under your belt while you are developing your material and enhancing your performance. The events are also a great source of advice and information. Here you can meet other players and jam with them.

If you are an experienced player, this is your chance to perform more complex material or experiment with other instruments, like switching from guitar to drums for a few songs. You are open to share ideas, styles, songs and techniques with others. Maybe you will pass some of your knowledge and mojo on to up and coming players.

When you attend jam sessions, you are contributing to the musical community by inspiring others, entertaining audiences, making new fans and developing lifelong friendships with the people you jam with.

Nothing compares to cranking it to 11 and rocking out to the tunes you love to sing and perform. I encourage you to find your local jam sessions or travel to other places to jam, but either way, get out there and play.
