18 Year Reunion Fundraiser

Layloni's kind heart and generosity came up with the original fundraiser idea. She saw the Reunion Events as a way to raise funds for our musician friends in need of help. It took us a few years to even organize the first fundraiser. We had no idea what we were doing or how to do it. Thanks to the effort and support of our band members, musicians, Todd's Music & Sound, area businesses and like-minded individuals, we are now in motion for our 4th Annual Fundraiser, Friday, May 8th at the Beacon Icehouse.

This year, Joe Thomas was selected for the fundraiser. Joe has had heart conditions for several years, which have led him to several hospitals stays and a pile of bills related to his medical and health care. We are coming together again to unite for his cause. When the musicians band together, impossible tasks are overcome, it's amazing.

How is Joe associated with America's Liquor Down Band? Well, the tale goes, Joe came to a jam session in Choteau, where he was going to meet up with Harlan Hall and do some jamming. Joe went in and Liquor Down was playing. Harlan wasn't able to make the jam, so Joe sat in on Bass with Liquor Down. Allegedly, according to Joe, the Bass Player was too wasted to play. Joe wound up having to play for the rest of the night.  Upon reflection, Joe's chance encounter with Liquor Down occurred, allegedly, a long time ago and he's been part of the group ever since.

Cheers to 18 Years of Liquor Down, 4 years of fundraisers, and to our friend Joe Thomas.

Bottoms Up, Liquor Down!
